Petrichor Inverness is such a special place and this music wraps me in it everytime. I've taken to playing it in my dye studio while I work and it just feels like magic. Thank you for your offerings.

about

This is music that aims to be fully of the place it was made - the West Marin landscape, unceded Coast Miwok territory. These are experimental instrumental journeys that stem from extensive bushwhacking and attentiveness to birdsong, the ways the wind moves through the trees, mugwort-dreaming plant magic. The styles range from solo guitar explorations to impressionistic ambient soundscapes, deeply textural drone and raga-like melodic rivers. Embracing spontaneity and imperfections. Hummingbird songs. Coyote songs. Music unfolding like a tree's roots searching through the soil for nutrients. Or something. I'm not sure what function this music has in this newly emergent paradigm we are entering into, but I hope it can bring about moments of introspection and reverence for the animateness of this beautiful world.

Deertrail to a Secret Place is an archival collection of recordings selected from earlier albums, given fresh mixes and remastered by Jeremy Harris.
